Davos 2017: Committing to Diagnostic Solutions to Tackle Antimicrobial Resistance
Diagnostics Industry leaders will come together during the World Economic Forum (WEF) Annual Meeting in Davos-Klosters in order to educate policy makers and business leaders from around the world on the role of diagnostics in combatting Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) and discuss how the diagnostics industry can work with global stakeholders to reduce AMR.
The WEF meeting engages the world’s top leaders in collaborative activities to shape the global, regional, and industry agendas, including a specific focus on shaping the future of health and healthcare.
This event, which takes place on January 20th, is organized by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS, the UN Secretary-General's Special Envoy for Health in Agenda 2030 and for Malaria, BD and AdvaMedDx.
The keynote address will be delivered by Dame Sally Davies, Chief Medical Officer of the United Kingdom, one of the world’s most vocal leaders in raising awareness on the global threat of AMR.
Kjersti Grimsrud, President, International, and President, Europe and Middle East from Alere will take part in a panel session with experts on global infectious diseases and from the diagnostics industry, to discuss how best to advance diagnostic solutions to tackle the spread of AMR and what is required from the diagnostics industry and other stakeholders to make this possible.
